At Hometown our storage buildings have many uses – sheds, workshops, garages, coverings for automobiles even fruit stands. One of our recent buildings was a truly customized project that will benefit a local high school group for years to come.
Coming Up With A Plan. Southern Guilford High School in Greensboro, NC was in need of a large, detailed building for their FFA club and very active agricultural science program at the school. When we initially met together to come up with a plan, the group had preliminary ideas of what they would like to see in their building. Their needs included a dedicated area for housing goats, an educational center, wash tub room and a separate space for agricultural storage. After consultation and going through the school approval process, we were able to create a solution for all of their needs and work within their budget, too.
Putting the Plan in Place. After fulfilling all of the group’s wish list, the unit itself is very large – coming in close to 30 X 80. Due to the different spaces requested, our trained and experienced staff got their creative juices flowing to make the building work. Adding “lean tos”, extra walls and storage areas, the final result had everyone well pleased and a space that was just appealing but also functional. Just like all of our buildings, we were able to customize this area as well with many of our unique features including multiple roll up doors, entry doors, windows, interior walls, electricity and exterior colors. With our 29 gauge Galvalume® siding and 29 gauge high ribbed steel Galvalume® roof panels the animals and equipment will be well protect from the elements year round.
The building was completed in the fall and the final result is an area that will last the school for years to come. So whether you’re home, school or business is in the need for extra storage or, a customized project, call us today and let our team work with you to create the perfect space for your needs.
